Mary Marovich We live in Colorado were temps can range from - 40-95+ degrees throughout the year. Would porcelain flooring be a good consideration for a screen porch application? We would like stone/tile versus wood, ( too many dogs)
Anne Gibney I would ask a local tile professional. Tile is rated for exterior/interior, but with -40 degrees not sure if that would work without cracking.
Renewal Design-Build Thank you for your question. The porch floor is constructed from standard wood lumber framing. The finished material is a 12x12 porcelain tile laid on a diagonal.
Renewal Design-Build Thank you for asking. Yes, there are two skylights in this porch. Unfortunately I don't have a great interior photo of the skylights, but you can see the exterior on our website. http://renewaldesignbuild.com/portfolio/porches/porch2.php
Flip through our other porch projects for more images of skylights with porches.
bmelski14 Thank you for responding. We are leaning towards pressure treated due to budget but my builder is "worried" about the wood shrinking/changing. He is suggesting thermally treated wood. We live in the south central PA.. so we definitely get all four seasons. Is this a screened in porch or just covered? If screens are on.. how did you apply them?
Renewal Design-Build Good Morning. This is a screened porch. We have each screen made to fit after the porch is constructed so that individual panels can be replaced as needed.
