How can I get one of these? - Ere do I find this fantastic sliding pocket gate for pets and children?
In the process of building a new house and I NEED one of these!! Please help! »
Sims Construction Looking at this door and the one on the picture below makes one wonder about hardware.
The one in this picture above (half door) has a wheel to keep the door up.
The door in the picture below has no such wheel so the door would need a more substantial hardware system. The force of a child climbing on it or an adult putting weight on it would be considerable. I am very curious what hardware was used on door both doors.
How does the sliding half door work? Is it on a track, or is on wheels & it slides into a pocket - I have a builder getting ready to start construction on my house and I really need one of thses for my dog. I am currently using a wood kiddie gate. It's ugly & scratches my walls. Not to mention unattractive!!

kit2650 I just replaced a circular staircase with a full set of steps along a narrow hallway. Now I have to worry about the baby (or one of us?!) falling down the steps! This would be the perfect solution. How do I tell my contractor to do that before he leaves?
Gate - What did you use inside the spaces (glass, plexiglass, plastic?) to keep pets and/or children from getting through? This is an awesome idea and I am really glad you shared it with us! »
If you've ever had a dog or a small child, you know what a pain it is to put up and take down door and stairway gates. This built-in, retractable version not only is a cinch to pull out when you need it, but also looks way more attractive than the portable kind.
