chlorinequeen I have this is my 11 ft. high living room in Cherry, we are painting it creme, and adding a mini one to a flat ceiling in the adjoining kitchen which has a 8 ft. ceiling. we love this ceiling and get tons of compliments.

vellabadu The coffered ceiling is very beautiful? I have a few questions.
1. What is the height of the room? (9 foot or 10 foot)
2. What is the coffered ceiling height (5 inches or 6 inches)?
3. I have a 9 foot ceiling kitchen. If I want coffered ceiling, would 31/2 inch coffered ceiling would look good? Because I have 42" cabinets and I don't want to disturb them? I will also have range hood over the island (because the stove is on the island), would this disturb the ceiling? Please share your ideas.
