How to hang pendants - I am purchasing three hanging pendants for my vanity which is 90 inches long. . My question is, how high from the vanity countertop should the bottom of the pendant be? And should the pendant be installed directly over the sink or directly over the sink but closer to the mirror? Any advice is greatly appreciated »
Emily Hurley I think one of the most important considerations is to decide how high you need to hang it to be sure it will not be in the way of a person standing in front of the sink.
I hope you've since found out this info....but here goes anyway...
Depends on the ceiling height?
Depends on the end users height?
Most lights can not be installed "directly" over water without being set to 96" high or so....
It also depends on the wattage and light source in the pendant....so many variables with this....if you'd like more info, please call me or email me directly 760-529-3746 amy@anewdesigndevelopment.com

TaylorsMade I would go with the nickel....as I have noticed when the light is on the finish looks darker, more towards a golder or antique bronze tone.
Amy Newman Lauffer, CID, LEED AP Hi everyone, these are, in fact Jonathon Alder pendants and I used them in the polished nickel finish. They are very beautiful, and do look a bit darker when the light is on as nickel has a bit of a blacker sub tone than polished chrome....but they blend beautifully and work great. Enjoy your lights...my client loved these :-)

Amy Newman Lauffer, CID, LEED AP Hi Christina,
The wall and floor tile are both Bisazza mosaic tiles that come on a 12"x12" sheet. You can find bisazza tile at www.bisazza.com or your local high end tile store...lots of colors and patterns available.

Amy Newman Lauffer, CID, LEED AP This vanity was an off brand....I don't remember the vendor but so many vendors make a similar now a days.....your bound to find one if you just google "mirrored bathroom vanity"
I paid about $680 for this and it came with a marble top and undermount bowl that I discarded and had a custom top made for this vessel that was actually 3" wider on each side of the vanity to make it look a bit bigger since the vanity only came in one size. Hope this helps :-)

Position mirrored pieces well away from doors. Otherwise, you may inadvertently bang them when you enter a room or open a closet.Keep little fingers and paws away. Kids and pets don't mix well with mirrored surfaces, so stay away from using mirrored pieces in family spaces or other high-traffic zones. If you choose to do so, consider covering them with a soft sheet or quilt during playtime.Get ideas for using mirrored furniture in your home
