A kitchen with 4 doors always pose a design challenge. In this Craftsman kitchen, we created a functional kitchen for a busy family of 4. The kitchen includes:
- two seperate work triangles
- a efficient baking center with marble top and it's own sink and refrigerator
- a boot bench for storing shoes & coats
- Large pantry and refrigerator are situated at the entry perfect for unloading groceries. Message center applied to pantry doors, chalk board, cork board

Love the tile in the backsplash. Where did you find it? »
Flooring question Is this a white oak floor? - I would love to know what type of flooring this would be and also how does this flooring hold up in a kitchen? Thank you »
karrol The kitchen is really lovely. I am so glad you said it holds up well as I am getting ready to make my decision on either white oak as in the rest of my home, or porcelain. Thank you so much.
Craftsman Design and Renovation You're welcome. Thank you! Porcelain can be beautiful and great for maintenance (wonderful with kids and or pets, especially). I caution my clients that it can cause fatigue if you are standing for a long time. It is also not as warm or forgiving when things get dropped. Area rugs or mats can help.
Cork inset on top cabinet door on far left of side wall in laundry room (the one closest to the window)
Chalkboard inset for top cabinet door on far right of washer wall (closest to windows). Can we also make this be magnetic?
