JCR Architects It's very common no a days. Most of them are done custom by a glass shop or high end plumbing stores. The frame at the top is the most important piece and needs to be solid enough so the door does not seem flimsy. Also, the glass comes in many finished, including tinting and frosting.
Knickerbocker Group We purchased the glass shower enclosure, including the pivot hinge and header, from a local glass company that provides custom work. Here is the website for Pen-Bay Glass, who we often use: http://www.penbayglass.com/

Knickerbocker Group The shower tile is Carrara Tumbled Marble, which we purchased from Old Port Specialty Tile Co. in Portland Maine: www.oldporttile.com. I've attached another close-up shot of the tile.

What kind of vanity is there in this awesome bathroom? - LOVE everything about this bath!!! I was wondering what kind on vanity there is and where can I find the shower tile? »
Knickerbocker Group We purchased the vanity from a company called Decorum, which has since closed so we unfortunately can't track the manufacturing source. There is a partial glimpse of the vanity in one of the other Hunting Island photos (see the window shot with sheer curtain and lavender in a vase on the window sill).
Knickerbocker Group The shower dimensions are 3' x 3'6"... smaller than it looks! That's the value of having glass on two sides. Thanks for your interest!
Want to know about the floor. Love it! Concrete painted with stencil? - This bathroom floor is awesome. How was it done? Concrete painted with a stencil? Do tell! »
Wood Door and ceiling - What wood was used for the ceiling and the door? What white wash was used...trying to get a rustic feel and want to use several barn doors in the house as well as wood batten board on walls and don't know what wood to use...thanks, this is great! »
Work the new into the old. This modern glass shower disappears into the stone wall. The whitewashed, wide-plank Z door adds softness to this weathered room. Rough wood above is the perfect ceiling choice. Carry the look all the way through every detail with antique hooks and door latches. Keep it honest with exposed plumbing and electrical conduits whenever possible.
Natural stone shower tile keeps the main bathroom's look in line with the rest of the home. A stencil on the stained concrete floor adds a subtle decorative element. Fixtures: Rohl; stenciled floor pattern: Jill Valliere Design
