How high is the slide in your yard? What I mean is how many feet higher than the pool? - We have to run everything we want to do thru the homeowners assoc. if it goes above the fence line. Does this slide do that? Also did you add it to an existing pool or build it all at the same time. »
Distinguished Pools Hello, this slide sits at about 10-11' above grade, well above the 5'-high fence. This slide was part of a major renovation of an existing pool..attached is the before picture.
Distinguished Pools Kenzie, thanks for the question..The slide is made from a combination of rebar, wire mesh and concrete that is textured to resemble rock ( in this particular case) we were replicating decomposed granite. (something we see a lot of here in San Diego) Once the texture is applied a combination of concrete stains and paint is used to color and enhance the rock, bringing it to life. We then use a very high grade epoxy type sealer for the chute (where you slide down) this gives a very hard slippery surface and with normal use(no boogie boards or other items only bathing suits ) should last a few years.
If your in the San Diego area give us a call. You can also visit our FB page and see projects like this and others go from concept to completion detailing each step.
Distinguished Pools No, the rock at the bottom is about 5' above the slide..the photo above this reply shows the view point from a different angle. Thanks for looking and asking
Thanks for the great question!
