The remodel of the 60's Kitchen took several small spaces and integrated them together for a modern family lifestyle. The Kitchen opens into the Family Room space that leads into the Living Room beyond and adjacent Dining Room. The rustic farmhouse table provides ample casual family style dining. Rectangular stone tiles create a new face and surround of the existing fireplace. Designer Brandi Hagen used a large piece of walnut as the hearth and incorporated the stainless in front of the firebox creating a modern feel.
Eminent Interior Design Hello. The Kingwood Marble is from Artistic Tile and we specifically requested that it have a honed finish. There are many distributors that carry Artistic Tile, but we purchased the tile through Fantasia Showroom in Minneapolis, MN.

Eminent Interior Design Hello. The frames themselves are only about 1" in width and are painted wood in a black finish. The mats in the frames were specifically designed so that photos could be easily changed out but maintain the appearance of the photo wall even with the orientation changed.

Eminent Interior Design Hello. The A/V components are behind the wood panel at the end of the fireplace wall. The panel has a touch latch so that it appears solely decorative. All of the home's sound system and smart technology is housed there. Thank you for your question!
Eminent Interior Design Hello! This wonderful rug was found at a showroom in Minneapolis called Woven Arts. It is from a manufacturer by the name of Tamarian and the design is called, "Billboard Trek". The rug is made up of Wool, Silk and Hemp.
Thank you for your question.
Eminent Interior Design The golden yellow color you see to the right of the photo is actually a textured vinyl wallcovering from Elitis available through Donghia. Thank you for your question!
How did you configure the art work on the far wall? - All framed photos in the picture frames? Did you calculate the fram size with wall size? It looks nice! »
SPKCreative Abstract Art www.spkcreative.com I'm guessing that the matting and the frames are all the same size (the images themselves seem to vary) and the spacing between each must have been measured because it looks likes there is a grid design on the wall itself.
Eminent Interior Design We made all of the frames 18x18. The interior photos then could be various sizes(8 x 10, two 5 x 7 photos or four 3 x 4) with mats cut to accommodate the various photo sizes. They could also be oriented either horizontal or vertical. The frames were made with removable backs so they could easily be updated. As for how it is on the wall, we wanted the spacing between to be the same. There is more space under the photos towards the floor than up at the ceiling; the spacing maintained between each frame was more crucial. Thank you for your question!
tennisdi Extremely helpful response. My husband and I are building a house and will be putting in rift-cut white oak floors. Will definitely work with the finisher to get the right look.
