"We love using steel in the landscape because of its slight profile and the fact that its natural patina reads like soil or another earthy landscape material," says Dylan Robertson, owner and lead designer at D-Crain Design and Construction. "With great attention to detail and refined craftsmanship, steel can be highly diverse in the landscape."
Cor-ten steel might be a more cost-effective retaining wall than stones. Looks kinda cool, too. I like the slant, instead of the normal 90-degree angle: less dirt required to fill in behind it, and it seems like it would have less stress.
The iron walls are fantastic, especially how they lay into the slope, gives such a floating feeling to the partway and it allows for the plants to not feel in the way of the path! Excellent
