AB HOME Interiors I am not familiar with meters and not knowing the configuration of your room it would be hard to say. I would look into hiring a consultant in your area just to come out and review your space. Wont take much time and they will be able to give you ideas you probably haven't thought of!
AB HOME Interiors That one is similar but not the same one. The chandelier above is 38" in diameter and has brass fittings. It was also $6000. Client folder is in storage so if I happen to come across the vendor and info I will post it here.
This dining room is beautiful..I just purchased a Shonbeck chandelier that measures 35 1/2" high by 28 inches wide. The lighting person said it would be a good size for my dining room..I think it may be too tall but I see here you have a tall chandelier in this room and the room doesn't look bigger than mine..Mine is on the smaller side.. 16'2" x12'3". I have a nine foot ceiling in there. I thought the rule of thumb was to add the two dimensions and that would give you the size you should have..That works for me but no one ever mentioned how tall a chandelier should be..I think it would give me a foot of chain from the ceiling..Thanks for any suggestions.. »
foreverhouse Thank you.. I moved in four months ago and it is installed. It makes such a dramatic statement when you first come in the house.. I absolutely love the way it looks!
AB HOME Interiors Thank-you! It is a custom blend. The red was matched to the captains chair fabric. The cream was an existing color from previous home owner
Calculate the right size. To keep tall guests from bumping their heads on your chandelier as they get up from their seats consider the size of your light. Using a measuring tape, calculate the width of the table and subtract one foot. For example, if your dining table is 38” wide, you will be looking for a chandelier that is 26” wide. The reason for this is so you don’t end up with a light that looks too small or too large over your table, and tall guests won't bump their heads on your chandelier as they get up from their seats.
With all of the color inspiration around you, don't forget to consider the obvious: Your favorite color. We sometimes have a tendency to forgo our best-loved hue because it may be a bold choice (like red) or it's a color that is not necessarily on trend. But so what? If it's your favorite color, it will make you happy.
