Glenna Partridge Garden Design You could plant either one or two vines on either side. Planting the same vine on either side of an arch will make it more symmetrical if that's the look you want. Make sure you know the mature height of the vine. For instance Wisteria can grow very large and one plant would be enough....otherwise you will have to keep pruning it to keep it under control.
