Help with my kitchen please. - We are giving our kitchen a makeover and our kitchen layout is much like this one. We had a snack bar attached to the wall, but now are making that into an island. I'm choosing between 3 different types of wood for our cabinets and island, which are red oak, alder, and natural maple. I'm trying to find the perfect color stain. My new porcelain tile is Nairobi, afrika, the colors are grays. I'm looking for a fresh clean look for my kitchen/dining. Could you help me with colors, stain, and countertop? Thank you »
Keystone Cabinetry Inc. Since 1984 Do not use Oak it is outdated wood from the 80's. Use alder, Alder wood it's going to give you the best looking Cabinetry no matter what stain you use. Popular stains now are walnut glazed and Mocha finish wich are dark colors but brings out the beauty of the wood grain. I hope this helps!!
