Domain Design It's custom made by Real Industrial Edge Furniture - this particular mantel is comprised of twelve (12) 1x6 pine boards, which were then glued together and then stained. The mantel is fastened to framing behind the mantel using rebar.
Domain Design No, there were no issues with the components or TV getting too hot from the fireplace, as the fireplace contractor had guidelines to follow for this type of installation (and all of them should be able to tell you what those exact distance needs to be). To be safe you would want roughly 18-24" from the top of the fireplace to the bottom of the TV. In addition, having a mantel deflects direct heat to the TV too.
Domain Design These are roman roller shades found at any common blind store such as Blinds To Go or Next Day Blinds. The top level are remote control and the bottom ones are manual pull system (nail to the side of the window trim).
Domain Design The contractor I used, Real Industrial Furniture, most likely glued these 12 pine boards together and then stained them. However you can barely tell these are separate boards - it looks like one big piece.
Where do you store all of the other electronics that go along with the TV? - We need someplace to store our surround sound council and dish council....which of course have cords that must run to the TV. »
After you put the components in the wall above the fireplace:
1) Was there any problem with heat affecting your components? What did do to "keep it cool"?
2) What did you use to mount the TV and still cover the hole behind the tv?

The TV is a new ultra-thin Samsung (approximately 1" thick) with a flush mount hanging system (literally a cable cord, hung like a picture frame). Those flush mount hanging system is nailed in the exposed 2x4 support beams that you see in the picture. So when the TV is hung is flush with the stone and you can't see anything behind it.
Domain Design The sectional is from Arhaus furniture, in style Dune in a charcoal microfiber. The trunk is from Restoration Hardware called the Blackhawk Collection.

Domain Design Yes, you can purchase it in the US through a fireplace vendor and the price will vary depending on accessories, but somewhere around $4,000. Go to http://www.montigo.com to find the closest dealer to your city. Good luck!
Domain Design Do you have shades or curtains to close during the day? Any fabric will fade if left in direct sunlight, so I would definitely suggest drawing the shades during the day to prevent fading. It's difficult to keep them closed all the time, however it's necessary if you want to preserve the color of the fabric. Best of luck!
