Also please realize that pictures don't always show the color properly. Also a paint that looks good in this space may not work in yours due to lighting differences.

Carolina Design Associates, LLC This project was done quite a while ago and we no longer have the design notes. The wood is maple but the stain were unsure of but believe it's similar to espresso. However I do have to say that most of the stains we do are a custom finish. They are a mixture of 2 or more stains to compliment the surrounding finishes.

Carolina Design Associates, LLC The cost to remodel can vary widely regardless of the size of the space. We would recommend writing down your thoughts about what you would like in a new kitchen and what you don't like about your current kitchen. Also know what amount your willing to spend. Then approach a local Kitchen Designer\Interior Designer or Contractor about your options and pricing. They will work with your notes and present options to you so you can make a decision.

Carolina Design Associates, LLC To expand a bit more.... 36" is the minimum width you want in between, 42" is the minimum you want if you have a dishwasher, etc in between so you have room to walk around and if you have a double oven then you would want 48" in between.

Carolina Design Associates, LLC Ceiling height is 9'. The upper cabinets are actually 2 cabinets. The small glass door cabinet is an individual cabinet, and the main door cabinet. The sided fixed panel is all one panel.

Carolina Design Associates, LLC It is a red oak species floor, but we matched the existing hardwoods in the house (this kitchen was a renovation). We do not have record of this exact stain color. If you want a nice strain color to try: Minwax English chestnut stain.

Carolina Design Associates, LLC I typically like to keep it minimal. Therefore you see two different finishes here. If I added more I would feel as though it was very busy. However in saying that it's your house, your style, if it makes you feel good then go with it.

Carolina Design Associates, LLC The backsplash is a 2x4 Calcutta gold marble tile. The countertops are a granite. Some call it Antique Brown and some call it Maroon Cohiba.

karenlrice I have used Benjamin Moore's "Iron Mountain". It looks exactly like this picture.
Iron Mountain is a true charcoal but definitely has a green undertone. It really depends on the light in your own room as to the finished look. Always good to try the five dollar sample before purchasing the 60 dollar gallon.

Marie Meko, Allied ASID I prefer stainless appliances. I think they are versatile and give a nice reflection of other colors in the room. White can be stark and draw the eye to the appliances rather than put them in the background. I also think they give the feel of a professional kitchen .

Anne DeCocco I'm sure you need to contact the designer and/or photographer of each photo to arrange that. Just click on "more info" at the bottom of the photo and you'll easily find a link to their Houzz profile and then usually to more contact info. It's pretty easy to get around this Houzz!

Just know that tile can be very cold and you may want to heat some areas of it, depending on the climate you live in. We have clients that have done this in the main living spaces but may use carpets in the bedrooms.

Carolina Design Associates, LLC This was done several years ago and we no longer have our design notebook for this particular project. Based on my memory it was roughly a 300 sq ft kitchen (picture does not show entire kitchen). Cost for a kitchen like this can vary a great deal depending on your finishes. This particular project had granite, marble, custom cabinets, custom copper hood and appliances. Cost was in excess of 75K.

Mom likes the combo of white and wood in island: also likes gray on walls, "makes white [trim] pop" Floor and wood tones "warms it up" also I think the light fixutres warm it up, but she didn't mention those.
