Judith Balis HI Cara. "Kind of" is the best answer I can give you. It was one big 1970's kitchen with a little side laundry attached and cabinets to the ceiling separating the "eat in" portion from the actual "cooking section", so we knocked out all of the walls and reconfigured the kitchen portion into what you see now...we also added the sliding glass door. Wouldn't we all kill for a fireplace in our dining area?! Note the built in area to the left of the fireplace. That used to be an indoor grill that no longer worked. Judith converted it into a a functional bar area with built in storage for wine.
This fireplace is alot like the one I have upstairs (which I hate, because I don't know what to do with that brick wall!) This gives me some ideas that I can live with.
