Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hi. I think that room is closer to 10' ht or taller. The camera position is actually on the entry vestibule steps, then you step down into the media room. An 8' tall ceiling may be too low for decorative beams. You want the beams to be at least a few inches tall so they don't look too "fake". I'm 6' tall and ceiling beams on an 8' tall ceiling may feel a little too close to my head. You may want to do a "mock-up" beam out of cardboard. Maybe 24" long and paint it the color you want to finish the beams and hold it up on the ceiling to see if you like it or not before you take the time and expense of instaling the finished product.
