Hi, love this bathroom -- it is my inspiration! Can you tell me where the wall sconces are from? - Looking for vintage (or authentic reproduction) lighting sources. »
Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hello and thanks for the question. We wanted to make them look like "Hanging Mirrors", but are in fact recessed medicine cabinets. We had the contractor custom make the medicine cabinets with picture frame material we puchased in straight lengths from our art framers. The frame is mounted on the wall and the mirror glass is the door that moves. We have a small thin little medicine cabinet pull on the bottom right side of the glass that you grab to open the door.
carlasollano54 Honestly? That is brilliant! Why didn't I see this two months ago, when my walls were being built? Maybe I can still do this --my house is in Mexico and the walls is thick mortar/concrete. It seems with a chisel and a hammer, I could have recesses made for this purpose. Now, to translate all this to Spanish for my crew.
Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hello. The backplates were purchased from www.whitechapel-ltd.com. You can search for "84U21". They are patinated iron backplates. You could use these knobs.. "81EUP6" from Whitechapel also. They come in the same Patinated Iron finish. The original knobs have been discontinued. Thanks,
Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hello. Thanks for the comment. We had those custom made, but you can find something similar at www.jtribbleantiques.com.
