Forget the floor! I love the thought of a room full of masterful paintings leaning against giant easels in a room full of light! It's almost like walking into Mr. Darcy's mansion room full of marble white statues. What works? Repeat similar styles of art. You might ask "why would you want a museum in a room?" But in the case of Mr. Darcy's house, it's very personal- it's more personal than walking into a room full of handpicked vintage decor and furnishings.
