This mirror is positioned to reflect the windows, which brings the view into the room. When used to reflect the view or a particularly attractive feature of the room, a mirror becomes an art piece.
Mirrors over the sofa aren't unusual, but this one just works. The dark wall offsets the bright reflection, and the furniture's colors and classic lines make for a look that's clean, but not boring.
With all of the intense color in this room, the table's glossy white offers just the right balance. I like, too, that the straight Parsons lines are contrasted by the slightly plump cushions on the sofa.
The beige rug, navy/black wall, white trim and beige curtains give this room a neutral base. Add some rust and dusty lavender and you have a truly unique palette.

I love the rust and purple wall. i know it says navy/black but a black/purple or purple/navy woud be nice too and use a persimmon color or a kiwi accent.
hmmm, i like how the wall is super dark but it is the only dark thing in the room, and the giant mirror on it instead of art, makes it look like a picture window and reflects light which further integrates the super dark wall... would replace that burnt orange w gold
The color combination is beautiful here - a deep purple wall with cream and lavender surrounding it. Think about your color choices carefully when adding an accent wall.
