One big benefit of wallpaper over paint is its ability to add texture. This walls look just a little rough, offering a great contrast to the smooth Tiffany blue vanity.
A lot of the wallpaper that we've looked at has been really bright and bold. However wallpaper can also be used to ground an otherwise bold room. A neutral color and earthy texture grounds the space like we see in this bathroom.
6. Texture. It's easy to think about color when we're thinking about design, but it's important not to forget about texture. In 2010, experts predict that mixing textures - like this rough wallpaper next to a smooth sink and cabinets - will be all the rage.
This is the room I chose to illustrate the trend in the "10 trends" ideabook. I love the way the rough texture of the wallpaper contrasts with the smooth cabinets and sink.

cover the walls with a wallpaper that can add color as well as texture... PERSONAL NOTE: I don't think this space would work nearly as well without the uniquely colored countertop.
These cool vintage sinks are coming back in style. The baby blue color is offset nicely with the weave pattern brown wallpaper. The counter space in this bathroom is something to envy. You can't underestimate counter space. See a sink like this you love but not the color? Don't worry you can have them professional painted or re-enameled.
colored bathroom fixtures are coming back into style. It is fun to be creative around them. I LOVE they way this bathroom uses the vintage sink with the textured natural colored walls. Another fun way would be a sea cottage look with a sea glass look and white accessories.
