Hi, great island. I have cleints who are interested in doing the same look, do you happen to have any other photos of the island. I need some pics to show them so they can see the look I am after for thier kitchen.
Thanks for any help.

monsheldon Thanks! I thought so. We're going to do something very similar, I love walnut. We couldn't articulate it until we saw your pic, thanks for being our inspiration. Beautiful top.
Countertop color - Hello, I love the kitchen.
I am building a kitchen with very similar colors. Wooden island countertop, all white cabinets. We are debating about the countertop of the rest of the kitchen, if it should be all white or with some subtle color. What is the countertop you used? »
It works great in wood as well. Go for mitered edges for the cleanest look.
So is this a trend you'd try in your home? Let us know why or why not below.

Waterfall countertops, in a wide range of materials, is a striking trend in kitchens. Here a wooden countertop with waterfall edges brings in contrast and warmth into this cool kitchen.
The partial-back stool. Some have half backs, some have a seat that curves up just slightly. The backs on these actually do more than most — sometimes there's just little lip of a back that adds more style than back support. These stools have a warm modern feel that I respond to in an all-white kitchen.
17. The Radius Stool: I can't say it better than my colleague Lily Gahagen did in her description of this stool: "The seat of this stool tips up like a smile, which makes for a comfortable seat — and also a happy looking seat."
That is a very cool island! I like the wood but I am thinking since we want to do wood floors, maybe do another texture for the island top. Could look cool with a silestone or something maybe? What do you think? (chairs are cool too - looks like the west elm ones that are currently around our white kitchen table.)
