Lisa Hallett Taylor This came with the house. I'd do a search online for "outdoor wrought iron wall art" or something similar, and take it from there, perhaps narrowing it down to your region. Also, you might want to check an architectural salvage dealer.

Lisa Hallett Taylor The owner isn't sure, since it came with the house when they bought it in 2011. My guess is that it's a weather-resistant wood that has been sandblasted to look aged, and has possibly been stained. You could do this with redwood or a more expensive hardwood like ipe, shorea, teak or eucalyptus. Any wood that could be used for decking also could be used for the mantel of an outdoor fireplace.

The welcoming entry features a four-walled atrium with a a low, round fountain, grapevine-covered walls and seating options around an outdoor fireplace. While a private space, the courtyard is not fortressed from the street. Usually left open, a gatelike carved-wood double door is attached to tumbled-stone, mortared-joint pillars with a wood arbor that trains bougainvillea, an olive tree and other drought-tolerant plants.The entry door is a heavy, Tuscan-style, carved-wood door featuring a black grill over a peep window.

This is what I had in mind for the arbor down the pool side-the columns are perfect and the top wood structure is exactly what I envisioned. The pic also shows the wrought iron idea but I would like it to fill in the space between columns
