Elizabeth Cb Marsh/Jenkins Baer Associates The main difference between this platform bed and a regular bed is the height from floor to top of mattress. A platform bed is typically much lower. If you're comfortable with a lower height bed, the main comfort will be determined by your mattress! I've not heard of mattress issues due to use with platform bed, but that would be a good question for the store/vendor that you purchase your mattress from. Hope this helps! Thank you
Elizabeth Cb Marsh/Jenkins Baer Associates Hello! The chandelier is from Jones Lighting - a lighting source in Towson, MD who I typically utilize for clients. Hope this helps, thank you!
Question about the windowcoverings - What kind of window shades are behind the draperies? And how did you treat the draperies with the ducting... are the draperies gathered around the duct? »
Elizabeth Cb Marsh/Jenkins Baer Associates Hello Chrystie! As I'm writing to all who asked me questions months ago - my apologies for the extremely belated response!! I actually signed up for Houzz quickly while also planning my wedding, and am just now getting back to Houzz to finish my account, etc. Anyway, thank you for your questions.
The shades and draperies were all custom, through Drapery Contractors (Baltimore based drapery house). They have a "bottom up, top down" function, which is great for flexibility of use. As far as the duct....the duct actually stops short of the exterior wall by around 10", so there is one continuous panel of drapery actually running between the bedroom and the living room (if you look at her living room photo, you'll notice the draperies are the same....they're actually on one long continuous rod). I hope this helps to explain, and please let me know if you have any additional questions. Thank you for your patience!
Elizabeth Cb Marsh/Jenkins Baer Associates Hi Tj2742! I am so incredibly sorry for this delayed response...I quickly signed up for Houzz at the same time as I was planning my wedding, but am now just starting to go through Houzz in detail to add photos, respond, etc.
I'm sure you've moved on from this question - but just in case....This artwork is actually a painting called "Jumping Man', by Ngurah. The painting was furnished by Renaissance Fine Art - a gallery I typically utilize for clients. Hope this helps, and thank you for your patience!
It's a little modern, but its boho signposts — art, layered fabrics, shoes on display, chandelier — are strong. Major points off for lack of books and old art, however, and for those matching bedside lamps.
