How do you create this wall, and whats an inexpensive way to do it »
KARLA TRINCANELLO-CID - INTERIOR DECISIONS, INC. The upholsterer installed each padded panel, I believe he installed tracks on the wall and hung each panel on the tracks. I don't know how to advise doing this differently because each panel is heavy with the plywood, padding and leather like covering.
Custom Home Planning Center If you start with a 3/4" plywood wall there are a number of hanging systems that are available to secure the padded plywood units to the wall. If you want to avoid putting up the plywood backing a track of aluminum angle iron would span between wall studs. I'd just glue it to the backing plywood as there are a number of ways to apply pressure to the panels until the glue dries.
