Mitch Wise Design,Inc. Mostly by personal preference. If you want the individual tiles to show more,use a contrasting grout. If it is more about the color and texture of the tile use a similar color and not as wide of a joint.

Mitch Wise Design,Inc. This island was actually a custom piece I had manufactured by the cabinet maker. Any good cabinet shop should be able to reproduce a piece like this made to the dimension you need for your space. Thanks for the question.
