sopey I just saw this question and have some experience installing these doors in homes I've built. I am yet to find a manufacturer that makes one that is energy efficient enough to pass the local building code requirements here in Arizona. This hasn't stopped me from using them, as I love the functionality and style. I have just been forced to be 'creative' about when I install them. If anyone finds a company that manufactures these with a high energy efficiency rating, please let us know!!!
