Anne DeCocco The only rule of thumb that is super important is to consider what each mirror is reflecting. The mirrors in the above photo are reflecting artwork, and they look great. If they were reflecting a blank wall, or a tv set or a kitchen (gasp!), they wouldn't be nearly as wonderful!
Paryse Beatty What size of mirrors piece did you use on the ceiling? They seem pretty large... in that case, how did you attach them on the ceiling? it must murst a mirror of 1/4" thick, and i have been trying to do this, but installers are always telling me not to use mirror bigger then 12' x 12' because of the weight and told me it could be an hazzard... but 12'' x 12'' has not the same effect.
5. Use reflection. Through the placement of mirrors on the wall and ceiling, walking down the hall you get this painting repeated in reverse and upside down. It's a pretty dramatic way to get you noticing the reflections then studying the painting to see how it looks when it isn't turned upside down and backwards.
