A 1926 Spanish side by side duplex.
Design criteria…I wanted to live with all my art, family heirlooms and books. Everything you see has a story…a memory for me. How to make it all work together in 1250 square feet of space was my biggest challenge.
Edit, edit, edit. The layers remaining…a very comfortable, coaster-free and cozy place to call home.

Bedding? - Where can you buy the bedding from? Love the room by the way. »
Headboard - WIll yopu please tell me what the fabric on the headboard is, and who fabricated it for you? Id like to have a similar one made, perhaps in white, for my 12 year old daughter. Last question: Is this bed difficult to make each day? »
Can you tell me the height of the headboard? - Can you tell me the height of the headboard from the top of the mattress? Do you know the thickness of foam used?
Thanks! »
Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hi. The height of the headboard from the top of the mattress to the top of the headboard is 24". Overall thickness of the headboard is approx 3-4". Foam is probably 2" thick. On this specific bed the overall height of the headboard on the wall is 48". (the headboard only goes down to the top of the box spring though on the wall) 24" to top of mattress, then 24" above mattress. The headboard ends approx 5' before the end of the bed frame on the right and left side shown in the above photo.
no questions ..just compliments! - just love it all...true eclectic living with what one loves and making it work.without the perks of mile high ceilings, over the top architecture, and unattainable furnishings..just color texture and fun! »
Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Thanks so much for the nice comment. The large rectangular piece over the bed is from a local Los Angeles artist named Doug Cox. His web site is..... http://www.artslant.com/global/artists/show/12750-doug-cox . FYI every piece of art in this bedroom is from a different artist.
Tommy Chambers Interiors, Inc. Hi. That was our custom design we had made for us by our furniture upholster. It is basically just two headboards hung on the wall with a wood or metal cleat system. They don't attach to the bed or bed frame. Just two rectangular headboards, hung separately on the wall and butted together in the corner. Hope that helps.
