Natalie says, "My bed alcove is my sanctuary. I am a pillow-holic and love that I can layer and display as many as I want in this alcove which makes it the coziest spot to hang out, work on the laptop, read a book, or of course, take a nap. I also love having the curtains at arm’s reach for when I want to pull them closed and snooze a couple more hours! Photo by Natalie Moore, interior design consultant, Madison Modern Home
Try to find a space in your home where you feel removed from everything that is going on. Ideally, you want to be away from the noise of TVs, cell phones and the doorbell. This cozy nook feels just like a nest, and curtains provide a visual barrier.
Creating a sleeping nook with curtains is a great idea if the nook is in an often-used part of your home. If guests need more privacy, they can simply close the drapes.

I like that this bed has it's own hidey area, so the bed doesn't take up the whole room and the other areas can act as a functioning room rather than just a bedroom.
