Zack's industrial bedroom

Going from a nursery to a "Big Boy" room can be tricky. Its great to have something they can grow with and has solid pieces of furniture and large scale sized items. To keep the 3yr olds room still age appropriate I incorporated skateboarding (his favorite hobby) as well as some vintage toys.

The color is elephant gray by benjamin moore. The wood is just regular building material wood 1x8's from homedepot. Then I stained them with mahogany color stain on some and diluted the gray wall color with water and used that on some of them as well to give that gray barnwood look. I also distressed them alot before staining. It was alot of work but only cost me about $500 instead of buying "real" barnwood which would have cost about $2700.
