Kartell | Bourgie Table Lamp

Design by Ferruccio Laviani, 2005.
Made in Italy by Kartell. A classic design merged with modern innovation — the reinvention of the baroque table lamp is exemplified in the Bourgie Table Lamp. Ferruccio Laviani, a former member of the Memphis design movement based in Italy in the 1980s, is recognized for his design innovations of incorporating bold forms and classical references into his designs. The Bourgie Table Lamp continues in this tradition with a baroque silhouette uniquely executed in polycarbonate, one of the 21st century's most popular modern materials. Thanks to its flexibility and strong communication value, the Bourgie Table Lamp has a place in any room: on a side table in the living room, in the bedroom to create atmosphere on your nightstand, as a standing sculpture on a hallway table. The Bourgie Table Lamp's baroque-styled base is composed of three decorated layers that interconnect, and the large lampshade is made with a plissé‚ effect to create a myriad play of reflections when the lamp is turned on. Thanks to a special coupling system on the lampshade, it can be assembled at three different heights: 26.75", 28.75", or 30.75". Features a touch-sensitive dimmer.
