Coates Design Architects Seattle hello! thank you for your question....yes we designed the concrete slab. actually it is one contiguous pour of concrete with "knock outs" installed in the form during the pour...the knock outs are removed after the concrete has almost cured, leaving the gap and giving the sense of a floating slab.
