Originally designed by J. Merrill Brown in 1887, this Queen Anne style home sits proudly in Cambridge's Avon Hill Historic District. Past was blended with present in the restoration of this property to its original 19th century elegance. The design satisfied historical requirements with its attention to authentic detailsand materials; it also satisfied the wishes of the family who has been connected to the house through several generations.

What type of wood is the wainscot / trim and can you tell us the type of stain (if any ) that was used? »
Siemasko + Verbridge Thanks for your questions! This wainscoting was existing to the house (over 100 years old) and is antique cherry. The wainscoting was refinished in areas and was custom stained to match.
Need to put something in this space - What can i put in this circle area its a bit bigger than yours but its not an actual room and we just moved in please help. »
Siemasko + Verbridge Wonderful question! It's hard to suggest something to put in your space because even the littlest details can change a space entirely. However, you can never go wrong with a simple seating arrangement, two chairs and a small table.
Siemasko + Verbridge Thank you for your question Misspre! This carpet is very special. It was designed to replicate the existing carpet in the house prior to renovation. It's completely custom and can't be purchased.
Siemasko + Verbridge Thanks for your question. The green paint color is Farrow & Ball, Lichen No. 19. As a reminder, in digital media true colors vary.
Love these little private areas in homes. This is especially beautiful because of the stained glass..This would be where I would like to curl up with a good book.
