Black, White, and Red All Over
http://www.hayslipdesign.com

The creation of this bathroom was a challenge owing to the fact that it was carved out of a dark attic. The space was designed to be a full bath for a teenage girl, and priorities included ample storage, a soaking tub, and spacious shower all in a gleaming, contemporary setting. The color palette is a graphic combination of red, white and black with accents of gleaming chrome.

The bathroom boasts a maple bow-front vanity with black granite counter, the interior of which is outfitted with trays on glides for easy access storage. A red art-glass sink and spiraling blown-glass faucet add jewel-like effect. A red Murano chandelier provides a crowning focal point.

This bath was part of a total loft awarded first place for “one unique space” in the 2008 Texas ASID Design Ovation awards.
