A cookie cutter developer three bedroom duplex was transformed into a four bedroom family friendly home complete with fine details and custom millwork. A home office, artist studio and even a full laundry room were added through a better use of space. Additionally, transoms were added to improve light and air circulation.
Instead of providing separate bedrooms for the two young children, we designed a single large bedroom with a sliding wall of Douglas fir. Half of the space can be configured as a playroom, with the children sleeping on the other side. The playroom can also function as a guest room.

Grout color - What grout color did you use with the Savoy Cornflower? »
Mabbott Seidel Architecture We used the #91 Slate Grey from Laticrete. It's a neutral color a little on the cool side. Laticrete and other manufacturers have sample books and it's worth looking at them in person before installing. Best of luck with your project.
Mabbott Seidel Architecture We used a shower curtain here but removed it for the photo. Although I like glass enclosures for showers, I find they get in the way with kid bathtubs. This bathroom from the same project has a glass partition with simple clips to hold the glass in place.
Mabbott Seidel Architecture It's actually partially recessed about 4" and then projects from the face of the wall about 2". We were able to make it nice and deep because the wall was newly constructed. Hope this helps.
Mabbott Seidel Architecture It's from the Savoy line at Ann Sacks in cornflower blue. It's pretty reasonably priced and has nice texture for walking. We're planning on using a similar tile on another project soon. Hope this helps.
I like the contrast of the wood edging and the tiles. I'd want the subway tiles though and not these little ones. Overall the color scheme is one that I like a lot.
LOVE this - would just turn the tub into a shower stall w white subway tile and glass door. Wood floor in the shower, and a vintage wall mounted sink! = Perfect!
