Victor about how much was the material cost on this? We also have a lakehouse log cabin and want to do something very similar and I really like the simplicity of this design.

Ironwood Builders Victor, that looks like reclaimed cedar fencing and pressure treated or cedar posts. Call a local fencing contractor, they often have reclaimed material, salvage from demo and re-fence. Not really cheap, but rustic and more affordable than new.
