What color and brand is the turquoise desk. - I want to paint my kitchen island turquoise. The house is small and the kitchen is all white. I love the modern look of turquoise but don't want the color turquoise you would see in a Mexican Restaurant. I want a very modern color. Love some suggestions. »
Julie Hunt Benjamin Moore just came out with a new deck of colors called color stories. My absolute favorite is skydive it is a little darker than the color above but it is a more modern turquoise color. Benjamin Moore's description is, "Take in the color of sea and sky as you soar high above the Caribbean." Another color that might work for you is, In the tropics.
Unfortunately with computer generated images what you are seeing might be very different from what I am seeing due to our screens however I tried to match it up with my paint decks and you may want to try baby boy blue, (2056-50) or cool aqua, (2056-40). Also a similar color from Behr, Tropical Waters (s-g-500), might be a match as well. Good luck with your project!
I also love this slightly organic-looking wave pattern. As for color, it looks as if the designer picked a paint chip and just when down the line, from darkest to lightest — a great way to ensure that tones and hues work together.

And...back to girly. Why? Well, it ain't necessarily the walls. Those colors and that pattern could go either way. It's the skirted chaise and dainty lines of the painted desk that scream Skirtville. All the classic elements of coastal are present; however, the modern application on the wall gives it a hip update.
