MHS Interior Carpet Design Sarah, on triangular or angled steps there are two ways to go, follow the contour of the step or cut the corner. I have attached a couple pics of both ways of installing. They are not terribly difficult to do, but it is still worth researching an installer familiar with installing those types of steps. Also, they are installed in an upholstered manner or "cap and band". The carpet is stapled under the nose of the tread and tight to the riser. Another method of installation is the "waterfall" look. I prefer waterfall on steps that have open rails or on stair carpet that is being installed as runners.
