A single piece of reclaimed monkeypod wood is the focal point of this kitchen. Protruding from the wall at a slight angle (for interest and to accommodate the traffic pattern) it is attached to the wall using a 'knife' connection (so you don't see the support), and a single triangular-shaped support leg on the free end keeps it simple. This slab of wood measures approximately 18" -24" wide x 9'-10" long x 4" thick.
