Is the stain on the newel post and hand rail the same stain as the floor? »
Clawson Architects, LLC No, different types of wood were used therefore a custom mix was made for each. Consult your paint professional and do tests mixing differnt stains to achieve the look that works for you.
Simplicity Home Staging & Design This took a lot of digging and research. This design firm has an entire post regarding why they prefer not to reveal their colors. Primarily because color changes based upon the lighting in every space, which is true. As a designer I can appreciate this but in my personal opinion there is no harm in sharing colors with the public to give them a starting point for exploration. So keep in mind these same colors may look completely different in you home. That being said, under the company's explanation of this, the homeowner posted the color for the mudroom in this home, including the trim color. It would not be uncommon for the trim color to be carried throughout the whole home. She states you can email her to get any other colors in the house. Happy designing! Here is the post :
elllsworth11 This is the homeowner: The color of the foyer is either 0C-9, or 927 Benjamin Moore. I think it is 927. All trimis Atrium white benjaminMoore Satin Impervo. The ceilings are 50 percent atrium white and 50 percent flat white mixed.
Clawson Architects, LLC This stair and railing was a Clawson Architects custom design. It was designed specifically for this client and this house. GlenRock Stair of New Jersey was the Millworker for these.
sierraimwalle Elllsworth11 - Thank you so much for sharing this information. Just to be clear, the quatersawn that you did was to reduce the amount of grains and knobs? I am struggling with what wood to use right now as I don't really like the grainyness of White Oak, but I know it takes to stain really well. I actually was just told about a mix of Jacobean, ebony and walnut, but I almost think I like yours better.. By chance do you have any other photos of the flooring that don't have a big light reflection so i can see it's true color? I know this is alot to ask but it would be ever so helpful. (My flooring guys were supposed to start installing next week and I told them to stop because I freaked out!). Thanks again. - Sierra
