In the design stages many details were incorporated in this classic kitchen to give it dimension since the surround cabinets, counters and backsplash were white. Polished nickel plumbing, hardware and custom grilles on feature cabinets along with the island pendants add shine, while finer details such as inset doors, furniture kicks on non-working areas and lofty crown details add a layering effect in the millwork. Love love love the walnut island top. What kind of protective finish did you use after the walnut stain? »
House of L Interior Design This wood top is not used to cut anything on so it was finished with a polyurethane based coat to offer a deeper protective sealant from moisture typical to a kitchen setting. Thank you for your inquiry and I hope this assists you with your project!
House of L Interior Design Hi. Its the 24" Wolf Microwave drawer. The drawer underneath is just for storage, it is not a warming drawer. Hope that helps!
Island end leg details. I would like to try to incorporate something like this to add more interest to the island. It will make the island a little smaller -but much prettier. They don't have to be this big.
island side configuration, one panel, one usable space (micro/drawer on one side), small panel where under counter space is, 2 columns, apron on back--column too fancy though
