The designer for this condo wanted an old world plaster finish that fit into the contemporary theme of the residence. The solution was a subtle plaster finish over which a soft "parchment" look was achieved using a sponged on glaze. As a unique twist-we added fine silver veining to run throughout the plaster. the end result was an elegant organic looking finish. We then added a bit of aged detailing on the fireplace mantel .Just enough to highlight and show off the decorative aspect of the surround!
