Light goes both ways in this gorgeous entry. During the day in streams in through the transom. At night the substantial light fixture in the entry lights up the night and offers a warm welcome.

Here's another example of a double-door entrance. I like the symmetrical design of this one. I think that's a great way to go when using a large entrance on your home.
