Karlene Hunter Baum, Allied ASID Thank you for your kind words. This was a wonderful project to work on. I had the chandeliers custom made through one of my custom manufacturers. There wasn't anything on the market that had large enough fixtures for the scale of this space. My resource makes light fixtures to specification, I figured the appropriate size, a custom finish and selected the bowl material finish as well. The fixtures were ordered and direct shipped to the job site where the job super coordinated the appropriate people and resources to receive them and install. I can help you out with this type of product through my design studio. Let me know if you'd like to investigate the options. Thank you for inquiring. Karlene Hunter Baum
Karlene Hunter Baum, Allied ASID Thank you for your inquiry. This sofa is from Henredon. They have a great program called the Fireside Custom Program. You can choose your back, arm and leg styles from a series of options to create the look you want. This one is the H9500 series with a tight back, track arm and block leg. this is the larger scaled series at 42" deep but they have smaller series options as well if you wish it to be of smaller proportion. We opted to use leather on the main body of the sofa with fabric on the seat cushion and and pillows. My Design Studio carries the Henredon line so I am able to assist you in selecting a sofa for your project or if there is a store in your area that carries Henredon they could help too. Let me know if I can be of further assistance. Karlene
Karlene Hunter Baum, Allied ASID Dear Eddax, Thank you for your inquiry. I had the honor and thrill to work on this project. It is situated on beautiful Lion Mountain in Montana. I do have more photography of this project on my profile page on Houzz. My link is http://www.houzz.com/pro/khunter1562/karlene-hunter-baum-allied-asid. The project name is Lion Mountain. I completed a similar project titled Eagle's Rest that you might want to view as well. This project was so well liked by a family in another part of the country that they hired me to be a part of their architectural/builder/interior design team to bring the elements and feel of this project to their new home. Let me know if I can help you in your endeavor. I'd be delighted to discuss the process with you. Karlene Hunter Baum, Interior Designer.
Karlene Hunter Baum, Allied ASID Hi Charles, So glad you love this house. It was custom designed by an architectural firm in Montana. The client got me involved as an interior designer during the blueprint stage to make sure the spaces made sense for day to day living and to assist in teh surface material selections, lighting fixtures, furnishings, carpet, rugs etc.so that the residence would become a cohesive whole. The architectural firm is CTA Architects and Engineers in Kalispell. Phone # is 406-257-8172. This project was referred to as the Lion Mountain Residence. Are you looking to build a custom home? Think of me during the process for the interior design perspective. I would love to answer any questions you have on the process. I have projects through out the United States so am used to working long distance. Thank you for touching base. Have a wonderful rest of your day. Karlene Hunter Baum
l8nite I'm want to build this room as an addition to my home in Delaware. What kind of wood was utilized? Where can I read more about this beautiful home
Karlene Hunter Baum, Allied ASID I'm glad you think it is beautiful. I am the designer that had the privilege of working on this wonderful project. This home is on Lion Mountain in Montana. It has gorgeous views so we wanted to make sure you could see them at every turn. If you go to my link http://www.houzz.com/pro/khunter1562/karlene-hunter-baum-allied-asid you can see more photos of this home under the title Lion Mountain. I did another project in Montana with similiar flair, it is titled Eagles Rest. The floors are walnut, the trim is cherry and the ceilings are cedar on both projects. The stone is found only in Montana. I have another client in another region of the United States that wanted this look as well. We were not able to locate stone like this in their area or the entire eastern half of the U.S. so they ended up having their stone mason make a trip out to Montana to select this stone for their project. The hearth is one big slab so we needed the mason to hand pick what would work appropriately for their space. The mantel is wood wrapped in metal that was treated to look like aged copper. With the wonderful vaulted ceiling we wanted a dramatically sized chandelier for the space. We could not find a ready made one so we had this one and the others in the space custom made. I was able to design and size them for the project. I also supplied the furnishings, custom hand knotted wool rugs and lamps for the room. The client wanted warm "mountain contemporary" which we accomplished with the warm tones and a wonderful play in texture with all the elements in the room. I would be happy to assist you in your project as well as I know this look inside and out. You would not need to re-invent the wheel so to speak. I have successfully completed projects around the United States. Let me know how I can help further. Happy Holidays! Karlene Hunter Baum.
