here's a wild idea ... is it possible to have a fireplace - visible on all sides - where the 3 walls intersect in the sun/living/kitchen areas - where the patios/slide doors are? It could be a focal point for all 3 spaces ....? There are structural issues which might make this more a wish than reality ...
