Debbie Basnett, Vintage Scout Interiors The sofa is through our store, Vintage Scout Interiors. The fabric is since discontinued, but it is a Crypton microfiber in indigo.
Would you mind sharing curtain rod details? - It looks to be extra long and antique gold which is exactly what I'm looking (without much success). I would love to know length and color, and most importantly, where it's from! Thanks in advance! »
This royal blue sectional looks great in front of the yellow patterned window panels. Oh, how nice it would be to have so many windows! Natural light makes this dark couch shine.
Pinch-pleated drapery panels, an aged leather club chair and tailored sectional lean toward traditional until the chevron patterned rug shakes thing up. The rug's zigzag shape relaxes the prim atmosphere and makes way for other playful accents like the fuzzy ottoman and glossy arc floor lamp.
1. Consider size first. If you have a bigger living room, you'll need to decide exactly how much of the living room you want your couch to fill. Do you want to include other couches or chairs? Do you want a coffee table? If so, a simple sofa, or one with a slight L-shape is probably the best fit. If you're looking for a sofa that will be the focal point of your living room, look for rounder couch shapes that take up a bit more room and provide a lot of seating. Here's a great example of a strong and simple sofa from Crate & Barrel.
8. Chevron chic. Want a fresh update without spending a lot of money? Throw down an oversize chevron-patterned rug to bring a zigzag pizzazz focal point down to the floor.
Go bold with chevron. Try putting a twist on traditional style by adding a bold chevron rug to the room. All of the classic elements remain firmly intact, while the bright, whimsical pattern of the rug adds interest.
Just a small touch of yellow on the curtains. Although I think the color is too soft mustard looking for Patrick. I think he would like something brighter.
