At the back of the property we created a curved wall, in a brilliant chartreuse stucco to act as an artful backdrop to our preserved bamboo sculptural installation. At the base of the bamboo we created a custom fire feature, which follows the arc of the wall for 14', finished with fire glass, and disappearing behind a charcoal grey stucco accent wall. The opening in the accent wall has a rain curtain, falling into the same fire glass, suggesting an intermingling of fire and water, and creating a veiled view of the fire beyond.
water jets, very beautiful - are these water jets? usually they're put on both sides of the pool, correct? used this way... it almost appears as a water fall instead. could you tell me the brand that they are, the distance they should be from the pool, and how far they are from this pool. It is best to set them in a garden, or in the pavers? t thank you so much! »
Pool Environments, Inc. The water feature is a Laminar Jet, and is manufactured by Jandy. From a design aspect, the beauty of this feature is in their versatility. In this design, I chose to set them back about 2’ from the beam of the pool, and surround them with mondo grass. This creates a beautiful visual, as the water emanates from an unseen source. Fair warning: this is not an inexpensive water feature, and its proper installation is essential to long-term operation.
Leeanne H. Thank you so much. Could you tell me what the beam of the pool is please? Is it the outside edge of the coping? How wide is this coping? I'm so uncertain about how large to do the patio around the pool, so I think I will just do a very narrow border like this, and place the jets in the garden so there easily accessible. I understand that there are different types of Mondo grass, do you know what type this is and what zone does is grow in, I'm on long island. Thank you so much!
