We recently remodeled our 1940's kitchen. For about 8 months, nights and weekends were spent doing every single bit of the work ourselves. Concrete counter tops, honey onyx marble tile backsplash, reclaimed chichen wood for cabinets made by hand, with handmade black onyx handles, and cork floors.

kbgnc The backsplash is Honey Onyx Marble. We got it online - thru eBay. I don't remember the exact vendor but lots of people had it and still do. It comes in several sizes. We got the 2"x12" subway tile size. Just go on eBay and search Honey Onyx Marble tile!

kbgnc Oh,and it was not very expensive. We were on a tight budget!
