This arrangement would be perfect for an alcove tub setting.
The mosaic on the tub front repeated on the walls and niche and their proportions are a couple of the elements that makes this design sound. I think tiling the front of the tub with the wall tile would make the tub look like a built in. Adding mosaic to the front will set it off as a feature. So, how you proceed depends on your preference.

Thanks for your reply...would you use these tiles on all of the bathroom walls, or would you go with something different outside of the bathtub alcove area?

Hi - you're welcome!
Personally, I wouldn't use the aqua tiles at all. Mainly because I'd be concerned about how it would read 10 years from now when aqua glass subway tiles aren't the "thing" anymore and I've put my house up for sale or simply because my color preferences have changed.
Don't get me wrong: I like completely tiled baths but would choose a timeless material, like limestone, a classic marble or travertine for the walls - a material that is impervious to trends.
But in your case, if you're not concerned about that and you want a fully tiled bath, I'd opt for neutral stone walls if you'll be applying make up in there. The aqua tiles will do funny things to your coloring. If you have a separate primping area - go for it. Just know that it's possible your tastes may change.
It'll will be still be fabulous even if you confine the tiling to the alcove and paint the other walls.

Tile it all! The aqua is still in the color forecast and it should take a long while for it to become dated (though Manon is correct that it eventually will). It's gorgeous! And you love it! One good way to tell if a color will bother you in 10 years is to reference your photos from 10 years ago. Did you wear that color or a version thereof? Did you use something like it in your home? If it's a completely new color for you Congrats! your palette is growing! If you wore it or used it you know it's just a color you've always loved.
If your bath is smallish, I would use the field tile on the front and side of the tub as well- it'll let your eye skim over the base of the tub and take in the whole, serene thing!
One very successful choice in this room is to run the tile to the ceiling. It is very helpful to not create all sorts of competing lines when you have such a strong pattern going on.
Please think about 12 x 12 marble flooring in a bath. People slip! Smaller tiles= more grout= more grip. Some clients feel fine about it, others not so much. Just something to think about.
Yay! Have fun with your gorgeous bath remodel! Make it something you love and don't skimp on your faucets! -Shannon Ggem
