Nancy Our home had been hit by Hurricane IKE and so we had to rebuild two rooms and this was one of them. I had just gotten everything back in the room that I was able to save and so took photos of it before I got back to creating. My room is without a doubt never this clean since this photo was taken, ha!
Nancy I had another pink that was too pink so this one has been ok but I'm so ready to change it. Now to tell the hubby, ha! The baskets are made by Longaberger basket company. You can find them on ebay for some decent pricing. I found a girl getting rid of a bunch at a steal locally and so my collection expanded last year :)
Kimberly Polman How wonderful! I'm slowly collecting depression milk glass, and that collection is displayed in my craft room, as well as some holly hobbie things :) I kept things really light - found a beautiful old desk and refinished the top in a dark glossy warm tone, but the rest of the furniture is a lighter greige, distressed here and there and sealed with a clear wax. I played with chalky paint ;) How lucky to have found someone getting rid of those baskets - I'd have snatched them up too! Thanks so much for sharing - soon I'll post pics of my craft room too!
runowicki you can use the Meltorp IKEA dining tables also, they come in three sizes and can be made into a great L shaped workspace for around $200. I know, I did that and love it!
I love the whole way of the room. How they used natural light to enhance the size and worked around the window. Another great way to utilize a small area!
This seems to be a more realistic room for me. Its rugged enough to actually make crafts in and you won't feel like your making a mess lol Love it!...p.s. I also love how the desk is in front of the window - I'm a day dreamer! :)
